There is no project. Capture needs a read-only connection to your CRM and a spreadsheet of your vendors. The sales team changes nothing.
That is it. No point of contact, no steering group, no change to how sales work.
| When | What |
|---|---|
| Day 0 | You share the CRM connection and the vendor spreadsheet. |
| Days 1 to 5 | We load each vendor's programme rules, connect the portals and run your open and recent deals through so you can see verdicts before anything is submitted. |
| Within a week | The first set of vendors is live. You choose the mode for each: fully automatic, released by a person or assist only. |
| Any time after | A new vendor is live the same day you send its row. |
Capture is the automation underneath, not the dashboard on top. You could switch it on and not log in for a year and every qualifying deal would still be registered, followed through and claimed. People open it for the monthly report, a QBR, a budget conversation or a vendor dispute.
Sales ops, RevOps or the vendor and alliances function usually own it, in the sense that the reports go to them and they set the modes per vendor. It is not a role.
Start now. Capture connects to the CRM you have today and reconnects to the new one in a short call when you move. Waiting for the migration to finish has one cost: most vendors do not allow a deal to be registered after it closes, so every qualifying deal that closes unregistered in the meantime cannot be recovered later.
Load them anyway. The row in the spreadsheet is the same and there is no per-vendor cost to you. The vendors you do a few deals with are often the ones where a rule change or a missed claim goes unnoticed longest.
Each page answers one question buyers ask, so you can send it to whoever needs it.
Every qualifying deal registered in the most profitable way, followed through and claimed. See what it would mean for your vendors.
