Set up the Airstride MCP server

The Airstride MCP server connects your AI assistant to your partner program. Add one URL, sign in, and ask about pipeline, partners and account mapping from Claude, ChatGPT or your editor.

What you need

  • An Airstride account. The assistant sees exactly what that account can see, and no more.
  • An assistant that can connect to a remote MCP server. Every one on this page can.
  • On company plans of Claude or ChatGPT, an admin may need to allow custom connectors first.

What is the Airstride MCP server address?

The server lives at https://app.airstride.ai/v2/mcp. It is hosted by Airstride and speaks Streamable HTTP. Sign-in is OAuth, so there is nothing to install and no API key or header to add.

Server URL
https://app.airstride.ai/v2/mcp

How do I connect Claude or ChatGPT?

Both add Airstride as a custom connector. You paste the URL once, sign in, then switch it on in the chats where you want it.

Claude (web and desktop)

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Airstride, paste the server URL and select Add.
  3. Select Connect and sign in to Airstride in the window that opens.
  4. In a chat, switch Airstride on from the tools menu before you ask.

ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings, then Apps, and turn on Developer mode under Advanced settings.
  2. Choose Create, name it Airstride, paste the server URL and set authentication to OAuth.
  3. Save, then sign in to Airstride when ChatGPT asks.
  4. In a chat, add Airstride from the + menu before you ask.

How do I connect a coding agent or editor?

Add the server with one command or one config entry, then sign in. Each one opens a browser window for the Airstride login.

Claude Code

  1. Run the command below in a terminal.
  2. Start Claude Code, type /mcp, pick airstride and choose Authenticate.
Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user airstride https://app.airstride.ai/v2/mcp

Cursor

  1. Add the server to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, or to .cursor/mcp.json in a project.
  2. Open Settings, then MCP, and select Login next to Airstride.
~/.cursor/mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "airstride": {
      "url": "https://app.airstride.ai/v2/mcp"
    }
  }
}

VS Code

  1. Add the server to .vscode/mcp.json in your workspace.
  2. Select Start above the entry, then sign in when VS Code asks. The tools appear in Copilot Chat in agent mode.
.vscode/mcp.json
{
  "servers": {
    "airstride": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://app.airstride.ai/v2/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Codex CLI

  1. Add the server, then sign in. Both commands run in a terminal.
Terminal
codex mcp add airstride --url https://app.airstride.ai/v2/mcp
codex mcp login airstride

Gemini CLI

  1. Add the server to ~/.gemini/settings.json.
  2. Start Gemini CLI and run /mcp auth airstride to sign in.
~/.gemini/settings.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "airstride": {
      "httpUrl": "https://app.airstride.ai/v2/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Or let your agent do it

Paste this into any coding agent that can edit its own MCP configuration.

Prompt
Add the Airstride MCP server to your MCP configuration.

Server name: airstride
URL: https://app.airstride.ai/v2/mcp
Transport: Streamable HTTP
Authentication: OAuth, signed in through the browser. Do not add an API key or an Authorization header.

When it is added, tell me how to start the sign-in, then list the Airstride tools you can see.

Can I use any other MCP client?

Yes. Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth can connect with the URL above. A client that only runs local servers can reach Airstride through the open-source mcp-remote bridge, which needs Node.js.

MCP config, local-only clients
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "airstride": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "mcp-remote",
        "https://app.airstride.ai/v2/mcp"
      ]
    }
  }
}

How do I check the connection works?

Ask a read-only question. If the assistant names your partners and their fit scores, you are connected. If it asks you to sign in, finish the sign-in and ask again.

Prompt
Using Airstride, list five of our partners and how each one scores against our ideal partner profile. Read only, do not change anything.

What should I ask first?

Start with the questions you would otherwise answer by exporting a report. Naming Airstride in the prompt helps the assistant pick the right tools.

Pipeline
Using Airstride, summarise our co-sell pipeline by stage and show the forecast for this quarter.
Partners
Using Airstride, which partners best fit our ideal partner profile, and how has each of them performed this quarter?
Account mapping
Using Airstride, show me the accounts we share with our top partner and which of them have an open opportunity on our side.

The connector reference lists the tools behind these answers, grouped by area, with which ones read and which ones write.

How does sign-in work?

When your assistant first calls the server, Airstride replies with where to sign in. The assistant registers itself, opens the Airstride login, including SSO where your organisation uses it, and receives a token scoped to you. This is the OAuth 2.1 authorisation code flow with PKCE and dynamic client registration, so nobody has to create credentials by hand.

From then on, every tool call runs under your Airstride role and is logged with who ran it and what changed. Admins see that trail and can revoke a connection at any time. The security overview covers the rest.

Common questions

Do I need an API key?

No. The server uses OAuth, so you sign in to Airstride in the browser and your assistant holds a token scoped to you. There is no key to copy, store or rotate.

Which assistants can connect?

Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Codex CLI and Gemini CLI all connect directly. MCP is an open standard, so any client that supports remote servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth works too, and a client that only runs local servers can connect through the mcp-remote bridge.

Can the assistant change data without me knowing?

Read tools answer straight away. Tools that create or update something, such as registering a deal or starting an account mapping run, are drafted for you to approve before anything changes. Every tool also reports whether it reads, writes or deletes, and most assistants ask before running one that writes.

Why can I not see a tool or a record?

Every call runs under your own Airstride role, so the assistant sees what you would see in the app. Admins also choose which tools are exposed and to whom. If something you expect is missing, ask your Airstride admin to check your role.

How do I disconnect?

Remove the Airstride connector or server entry in your assistant. An Airstride admin can also revoke a user's connection, or every connection from one assistant, at any time.

Sign-in keeps failing. What should I try?

Check you are signing in with the Airstride account for the right organisation, then remove the connector and add it again to start a fresh sign-in. If it still fails, email support@airstride.ai with the name of your assistant and we will look at it.

Is my data used to train AI models?

Airstride does not use your data to train third-party AI models. Data is returned one query at a time, scoped to your permissions, and there is no bulk export through the server.
